It’s so easy to get here. Just 35 minutes from New Zealand’s biggest city, Auckland, by Fullers passenger ferry, or you can bring your car on the SeaLink car ferry service from Auckland’s Half MoonBay. Or fly – direct from Auckland airport.

When you get here you’ll discover why Waiheke Island was named a must visit destination for 2013 by the New York Times which noted the island’s vineyards, its proximity to Auckland and the way it embraces its “bohemian side.”

Explore the island’s villages and the eclectic style that can see a multi million dollar house alongside a much loved ramshackle holiday “bach.” And Waiheke is well known for its alternative life stylers and a mix of people that could see you sitting alongside an aging hippy or millionaire (or someone who could be both) in a café or on a beach.

When you come – stay with us at Punga Lodge with its native bush outlook or Tawa Lodge, nearby but up high with panoramic sea views over Oneroa Bay. Both just a short stroll to safe swimming beaches and a 12 minute walk to the main village of Oneroa.
